We recommend ripping CDs on the X30 and storing your digital in a lossless file formats like FLAC. But these files may not be supported by other devices you want to transfer and play your music on. Well now you can copy and convert your audio files to other formats using the X30.

Please note: if you have music files in compressed formats like MP3, converting them to lossless formats like FLAC will not improve the quality.

  1. Export files ready for conversion

  • From the home screen go to the MUSIC DB
  • Highlight the track(s) or album(s) you want to export and press MENU
    • To select multiple tracks/albums highlight each one and press the right arrow on the remote
  • Select EXPORT SONGS 
  • Choose where to export your songs
    • HDD1 is the internal X30 hard-drive
    • USB refers any USB drive you have connected
    • At this stage you also have the option to create a NEW FOLDER
  • Select EXPORT START

  1. Convert audio files to different formats on the X30

  • From the home menu, go BROWSER
  • Locate the track or folder you want to convert
  • Press the MENU key
  • Select CONVERT AUDIO FORMAT
  • Select the format you want to convert the track(s) to
    • The options are: m4a, wma, wav, mp3, ogg and flac
  • An identically named folder will be created containing the tracks in the new format
